Since it was formed in 1987, the hospice has played a leading role in the development of the philosophy and delivery of children’s hospice care, not only in the UK but throughout the world.

Their commitment to this innovative development and the delivery of high quality, child and family led services continues and is vital to the children and their families. To continue with the essential support that they provide, charitable support is vital, and without it they would close. Government support provides less than a tenth of the budget needed, meaning Martin House relies almost entirely on donations and fundraising to raise around the £3.7 million a year needed to provide vital care and support for so many local children and their families.

Here at Pearson and Associates, we are going to hold several charitable fundraising events throughout 2008, commencing with a golf day at the end of May, a silent auction in June, and in September we will be organising a Yorkshire Three Peaks sponsored walk. Latest Our landlords, Tempest Estates, have today agreed to undertake a major redesign and refurbishment scheme for our offices. We have been at Broughton Hall for nine years now and, although we still believe that our working environment is an enviable one, we appreciate that we need a freshen up for the next nine. The plans have been drafted and will include a new reception area, glass partitions to replace internal walls, new climate controlled heating, new carpeting, new doors and re-decoration throughout.  We are sure that our customers will find the changes a big improvement, as will our team who are really looking forward to it. The work should commence in February next year and we are already planning to ensure that our high levels of service are maintained whilst it is carried out.
