'12 for 12' charity drive

Our aim was to raise £12,000 through 2012 for Martin House Children's Hospice who care for children and young adults with life reducing illnesses (this is how much it costs to run the hospice for one day).

We got active and pulled together to do this through different events and fundraising initiatives through the year. The generous help and support of our clients, partners and colleagues was amazing and we're delighted to announce that the total raised was £10,481.24! Although we didn't quite hit our target it was a fantastic achievement and we will continue to support this inspirational charity through 2013.

Here's what we did through the year.

Magical Loch Ness Cottage Break Raffle

The raffle to win a 3 night stay at one of Aldourie Castle Estate’s exclusive holiday cottages by the shores of beautiful, romantic and mysterious Loch Ness was a huge success.

Signed Bradley Wiggins SKY cycling team jersey

The charity auction at Martin House Children's Hospice saw our Bradley Wiggins shirt make an incredible £1,200! This was more than any other sporting item in the whole auction.

The Great North Run

Our very own Paul Mason dusted off his running shoes and took part in the Great North Run, getting a personal best finishing time. Well done Paul!

P&A Olympics on Sunday 8th July

On your marks, get set, go! The alternative Olympics came to Broughton Hall. After a lot of effort, a little blood, a lot of sweat and we don't think any tears, the gold, silver and bronze medals were decided. In third spot on the podium were Bizzie Lizzies, in second spot were 'us' the P&A team (we couldn't really win could we!) and the winning team were......Cuco Crew. Well done to all who took part.

Simon cycled the Alps on Saturday 7th July

Simon May from The North Space took part in the epic challenge of riding the La Marmotte one-day cyclosportive event in France. He survived a route that's 108 miles long with more than 5,180 metres of climbing that goes over Col du Glandon, Col du Telegraphe, Col du Galibier ending at the top of the famous Tour de France climbs Alpe d'Huez. Not only did he survive, but he actually got a gold medal! Well done Simon!

Superhero Friday

On Friday 25th May the 'villains' of Broughton Hall Business Park got revenge on the meddling Superheroes by throwing wet sponges at Batman and Robin (aka Joel and Callum) in exchange for a shiny £1 coin.

Meerkat raffle

We gave our stuffed telly friend a new home when we raffled him off. Simples.

Easter Quiz

We exercised the grey cells with an Easter Quiz (which by all accounts was 'very hard'). A big thank you to all our clients who have taken part and to the businesses on Broughton Hall Estate who have entered into the spirit of our challenge.

Grand National sweepstake

We put our hands in our pockets for a bit of a competitive wager.
